Kenneth S. Humphrey

Mr. Humphrey received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1986 and his Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles in 1990.  He was admitted to the Bar that same year and subsequently joined the law firm of Bolton, Dunn & Yates in Santa Monica, California.

At Bolton, Dunn & Yates, Mr. Humphrey gained extensive experience in all aspects of civil litigation including personal injury, premises and product liability, construction defects, insurance bad faith and coverage issues, representing public entities, self-insured entities, private companies, and individuals. 

In 1999 he joined the predecessor of Humphrey, Berger & Associates as a Senior Litigator where he handled litigation matters including personal injury defense, construction and surety matters, insurance insolvency, bankruptcy, indemnity and commercial collection actions. 

Mr. Humphrey became a principal of Humphrey, Berger, & Associates, LLP in 2003.  Mr. Humphrey currently handles complex litigation matters in courts throughout California, specializing in representing insurers in surety and insurance defense litigation.  Additionally, he represents businesses in various business litigation matters including contract disputes, bankruptcy, construction, real estate, unfair competition and employment relations.  He has handled numerous jury and bench trials, mediation and arbitration proceedings, and appeals.

He donates his time and expertise to non-profit groups in Ventura County, California, and is actively involved in business associations in Ventura County.
