"Gus"

Windflower's Gus, WS13137202, born 05/11/05 was abandoned by his owners, Terry and June Johnson in Mesa AZ when illness in the family left little time for the dogs.

Pedigree available if you are interested.

Gus and his son Bullet (below) were guardians at the Johnson's petting zoo.

He is a small male, healthy weight will probably be 75 pounds.

Gus walks well on leash, OK with animals other than cats. Very food motivated and easy to train.

Doesn't bark that much.

Hair on nose will probably grow in.

Thanks to rescue workers in Phoenix, as well as funds from KCA and KFA, Gus and Bullet are now neutered, worm and parasite free, heartworm negative, chipped, and ready to join your family.

Now located in Phoenix, AZ, transportation can probably be arranged.

If you are interested in adopting "Gus", or interested in fostering and working with him until the perfect adopter comes along, please
contact Gail

"Bullet"

This big pup is Gus' son by Windflower's DCT Paver. Pedigree available if you are interested, but there is no evidence that breeders/owners June and Terry Johnson registered him with AKC.

Bullet was born 12/31/06. He was helping Gus guard the Johnson's property and petting zoo when illness in their family forced them to surrender both dogs to Maricopa County Animal Control in Mesa, AZ.

Now 97 pounds, Bullet's normal weight should be closer to 115.

Hair on nose will probably grow in.

rebel091809a

Bullet is also very food motivated and easy to train. He still has a lot of big goofy puppy in him and can't wait to play kuvasz tricks on you.

Bullet is also now neutered, worm and parasite free, heartworm negative, and chipped.

Now located in Phoenix, AZ, transportation can probably be arranged.

If you are interested in adopting "Bullet", or interested in fostering and working with him until the perfect adopter comes along, please contact Gail

Gus and Bullet will probably continue to be a good working team for a farm/ranch family willing to give them the guidance they need to be successful guardians. Consider adopting both dogs.

Available NOW as a courtesy listing for the owner.
This is a private adoption, this dog is NOT a rescue.

"Max"

Tagos Just Max, WS09150602, born 07/05/2004

Sire: Tagos Macko Of Assur
Dam: Szumeria's Minnie Just

Breeder: David Fournier, Sunset TX.

Due to lifestyle change, owner must find Max a new home. Breeder will not take the dog back or assist with placement.

Neutered and healthy, Max will do best with a single woman or a home with teenagers.

Max's owner Jessica Spurlock will keep him and interview potential adopters until she finds the right home for Max.

If you are interested in Max,

Josh is adopted!!!! July 2009

His foster family decided to keep him. Thanks to Denise and Jen and all their critters for making room for Josh permanently!

He is a mystery Big White Dog.

Anatolian Shepherd Dog mix? Kuvasz mix?

He followed some hunters out of the woods by the Green River in Utah. With no residences around for miles, they took Josh home and gave him to a relative in Southern California. The woman tried her best to teach this BIG youngster some manners, but finally had to face the fact that he was too much for her.

Thanks to your donations, KFA Rescue was able to neuter him and bring him up to date on shots and worming. We had someone work with him on basic manners. He went to Northern California to be a buddy for a male kuvasz about his size. He could stay IF he was OK with a variety of small animals and pet goats. He didn't pass that test. Josh needs to be in another home NOW as he desperately wants to get out of his kennel to get the goats.

Available NOW!!!

Paul Korniczky, owner of Karpati Kuvasz died June 1, 2006 leaving no instructions for the care of the dozens of dogs in his kennel.  We are calling this the Binghamton Rescue. Please click the link for updates.

Homefinders

The following Kuvasz are being rehomed by their breeders. These are healthy, well adjusted dogs that for one reason or another are looking for a new family to join. If raising a puppy doesn't appeal to you and none of the rescue dogs are suitable, an adult dog from their breeder is a great choice.

no Homefinders now, to list a dog in this section mail Gail S. Dash

Kuvasz Fanciers of America, Inc. a California Non-Profit Corporation, was founded in 1985 in response to the degeneration of correct Kuvasz type in North America. KFA is dedicated not just to the preservation and promotion of the authentic Hungarian Kuvasz, but also to the support of ethical breeder conduct, rescue of Kuvaszok in distress, public education, and sponsorship of Kuvasz events and activities.  KFA's volunteer rescue network has been instrumental in rescuing, rehabilitating and finding new homes for abandoned, abused and other victimized Kuvaszok. Most of these dogs are happy, healthy, attractive animals who adapt rapidly and with gratitude to loving new owners.

KFA Rescue needs your donations for shelter impound fees, vet bills, and transportation.
